There was a street urchin, a mud lark, scavenging through the shit for the treasure
But when he get too deep he found he had to seek refuge to continue his pleasure
He burrowed through the bog like a mud fish with his mud puppy to a swampy chasm
A morass of molasses in a mud bath volcano where he had himself a little swamp-gasm
Mud turning to dirt in the sunshine
Dirt turning to mud in the rain …

Well he trekked through the thickets to the mangrove banks to sling mud on the folk of the land
He yells and he screams but he’s as clear as mud as in he’s tricky to understand
He gets chased by the man but he’s quicker than a mud skipper ready for the turn of the tide
One day he’ll have his revenge, he’ll inundate and saturate the planet in a tsunami mudslide
Going through the swamp, he going going going ….
Mud turning to dirt in the sunshine

Just pounded some tyres, filled 'em up with soil
Level, level, level till your 9 courses tall
Batter them back, so they do not fall
Cooling tube is sloped for condensation
Don't forget your thermal insulation
Slappin' them patties on the big bond beam
Stackin' them cans up high if you know what I mean
Just surviving out in the desert plane
Catching all the water from the rain!

I watched him take the book to some poor soul, a man who’s seen better days
I watched he steal his ear and his trust now, as he’s taking out his holy pail

Well I watched load the needle with the good stuff, and I watched him shoot it into his brain
